winegrowing strives to optimize all oenological processes towards naturalness. This results in timeless and pure wines of a new style of wine.

Ricker & Söhne have a 500-year tradition in winemaking. The family business works exclusively by hand in a permaculture system; fungicides and pesticides are not used. The wine is carefully matured in amphorae. The wine is neither pressed nor are other industrial processes used.

Red No. 3 , a wine made from red grapes fermented on the mash in an amphora, was made from the Monarch and Pinotin varieties. The grape skins and juice were allowed to undergo alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation together. The wine was stored on the mash for a total of nine months and developed into a strong wine with storage potential. Only 808 bottles were filled.

Tasting note:

The nose is characterized by a scent of ripe plum and sour cherry. Paired with a light spiciness in the background. On the palate, after sufficient decanting, the amphora wine opens up with soft tannins and a velvety, aromatic mouthfeel that lingers for a long time. Strong dark violet in color.
